May Ned is a native of Lehi, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Wilson. He attended Lehi schools, graduating from Lehi High School in 1948. While in high school he was on the track squad, and also served as football team manager and stage manager for two years. In February, 1949, he entered the U. S. Army and served for one year. On his discharge, he returned home and enlisted in the Lehi National Guard company, being employed for two years as caretaker of the Lehi Armory. After a brief term at the Central Utah Vocational School, he accepted a position in the accounting office at Dugway Proving Grounds, a position which he has held since 1954. He has advanced rapidly in the National Guard, having received his commission as a second lieutenant, and recently advancing to ' j i maWimvrr "trrfr Unit first lieutenant. The city ordinance covering fires is as follows: Chapter 17, Section 116: It shall be unlawful for any person to kindle or keep burning any fire in any of the streets of public grounds of this city without permission of the Mayor, or to kindle a fire in any private lot in any manner to endanger any building or other property in the neighborhood thereof, provided that all such fires within the fire limits must be extinguished before 8 p. late-burni- " I Lchi Firemen report that many citizens are violating the city fire ordinance by leaving fires and incinerators burning at night. In the interests of fire safety, the Fire Department is planning to crack down on such violators, with assistance from the Police Department. Police officers have been asked to keep on the watch for fires left burning after 8 p. m., and to issue tickets to the offenders. All such offenders will be required to appear before the City Judge to answer the charges.
