Show THE LEHI FREE PRESS, LEHI, UTAH THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1956 Brief addresses were made by both of candidates political Democratic and Republican parties for the meeting of the Wo- - Ray Edwards Wins Trophy in County Pistol Shoot Tuesday Ray Edwards, Lehi Police officer and president of the Utah County Pistol Club, won a handsome trophy Tuesday afternoon as "high aggregate" winner in the comexpert class of a petition sponsored by the club. Mr. Edwards averaged 95.35 in in the ten matches, to place first in the aggregate score as top winner of the competition. Shooters who score 90 and above are in the "expert" class, while "marksmen" shoot 80 to 90, and "sharpshooters" score 70 to 80. Lehi took all honors in the expert class, with second place trophy going to Lee Marshall, and third place to George Ricks, Lehi Police Chief. In the marksman division, Glen Newman of Pleasant Grove won first place, and Miriam L. JohnKen son of Lehi won second. Harris, Pleasant Grove, took third. James Hall, Pleasant Grove, won top honors in the sharpshooter class, while Lorna Hall, Pleasant Grove, took second, and LaGrande Hoopes, Pleasant urove, won third. Trophies were presented the winners by Harold D. Westring, Lehi City Councilman and chairman of the Police Department. Weekly shoots have been held by the Pistol Club throughout the summer and fall. Tuesday's final shoot concluded the club activities for this year, and matches will be suspended until next spring when the weather permits. Mr. Edwards reports that a total of 38 club members took part in the competition.
