Show UEXII Residents Urged Old Elementary School Razed To Improve Increased Premises The assessed valuation of Lehi City will be increased this year by some $43,441 with a total valuation of $1,903,745 as compared with $1,860,284 last year, it is reported by Utah County Assessor Clarence Olsen. Valuation of the Alpine School District has taken a big jump of $3,738,552, having a total valuation this year of $50,783,158, as last compared with $47,144,606 year. Assessor Olsen declared that the school district gained through the assessment of Geneva Steel Plant and Consolidated Western. Geneva Steel rose in valuation to this year from $24,531,642 $24,933,475, a gain of $401,833. Consolidated Western increased from $149,582 last year when it's plant was only under construction Consolito $1,472,751 this year. dated Western's office is within the Lindon city limits. Officers report that a company of photographers was arrested this week and fined for violation of the ordinance. Residents are urged to notify the police if they are contacted by salesmen. All local gardeners and residents of the surrounding area are invited to place entries in the show and compete for awards in all departments. First, second and third place ribbons, section awards and a grand champion, "Queen of the Show" award will be given. A special junior division will be featured. Accredited judges will judge all entries and the show will furnish a cultural sidelight to the big Lehi Roundup in progress at the time. The show will be open to the public view until 9 p. m. both nights. Show Rules Rules for the show are outlined as follows: 1. Anyone interested is encouraged to place entries. 2. All horticultural specimens must be grown by exhibitors. Potted plants must have been in the possesison of the exhibitor at least three months. Material for artistic arrangements or corsages need not be grown by the exhibitor. 3. Variety names of flowers must be indicated. Committee members will assist in identification. 4. Exhibitors will be limited to one entry per class, but may enter as many classes as desired. 5. No entry will receive an award greater than merited, regardless of competition. 6. All entries must be checked by the receiving committee and will be placed on the proper table by the classification committee. 7. Entries will be received from 7 a. m. to 9:30 a. m. June tulle, gauze, wiring or artificial coloring will be permitted only in corsages and dry arrangements. 10. Ay tjpe of foliage may be used in arrangement class. 11.
