COLON'EL FLOYD COATES VISITS FROM EUROPE Relatives in Utah enjoyed a brief visit from Lt. Colonel Floyd W. Goates, Lehi native, who flew from Austra last week on government busness. Called to Washing-ton- , D. C. on a personal assignment, he was granted time enough to visit his son, Richard Goates, Unversity student, at Palo Alto, His wife remained in California Paris, France. Colonel Goates spent last Thursday here with his sister, Mrs. W. H. (Jennie) Dansie and family. He also visited briefly with Mrs. Lurlene Loveless (sister) in Orem, and in Salt Lake City with his brother, Bishop Leslie Goates, and sister, Mrs. A. J. (Emma) Phillips. He reported that he had crossed 2900 miles of water on the flight. He brought a keepsake gift for each of his family. He and his wife are scheduled to attend the coronation of Queen Elzabeth II of Britain, in June. CPL., MRS. HARTSHORN SPEND FURLOUGH HERE On furlough from the U. S. Air Force, Corporal Ralph Hartshorn spent a two weeks furlough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Losee. With him was his wife, the former Carla Jackson. Corporal Hartshorn left Friday, for a new air base in Limestone, Maine. In the service one year in June, he was formerly at Parks Air Force Base, near Oakland, California, Lowry Field, near Denver, Colorado, and most recently at Rapid City, South Dakota, where he studied Aircraft MITCHELLS HAVE NEW SON Now at home and gaining rapidly is the new son of John and Donna Hadfield Mitchell, born March 10, in the American Fork hospital. Starting out with a weight of AM lbs., the baby remained at the hospital for a week's special care. He has three please.d brothers, Mark, Billie and Bobbie.
