Show THE LEHI FREE PRESS, LEHI, UTAH THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25, 1953 on Jaycees-Sho- rt Membership; Long on Activities Short on membership, long on activities, the Lehi Junior Chamber of Commerce has gained a reputation as one of the most energetic clubs in the community. Although their membership numbers only 12, they have piled up an Impressive record of activities and community service during the past year. Ronald Wall heads the club as president, with Ted Comer as Merle Evans first Harold as second Ellison as secretary, and Dick Roberts as state director. One of their first big activities of the year was the annual Easter Egg Hunt in April, when more than 600 Lehi children received free candy and hunted in Wines Park for "lucky eggs' which entitled them to special prizes. Local merchants donated prizes for the hunt. Another major activity was the Jaycees "get out the vote" campaign, conducted prior to election. Prior to all registration days for both the primary and final elections, the Jaycees toured the community with a sound car urging residents to register. On final election day, they launched an vice-preside- nt, all-o- ut campaign, climaxed when they dropped leaflets from an airplane urging people to vote. In October, they sponsored the local "Pony Express" drive to raise funds for completion of Avard Fairbanks' monument honoring the oldtime postal service. During the same month they sponsored a turkey ymffttwwf ji. p snv aPD Qc ictjotuj 3. HOW ABOUT A GOOSE for that VACUUM CLEANERS repaired FOR SALE Weaner pigs.
