The meeting began with prayer by Lowell Brown and group singing, nt Lynn R. Webb represented the city council in the opening speech. Chief Dixon of the Provo Fire Department urged regular attendance of members. Program numbers included tumbling acts by J. R. Price and Bert Carlson; and pantomines by Mrs. Barratt of American Fork. An elaborate turkey dinner was served under the direction ol the Lehi department auxiliary. A tour of the beautiful new school was conducted by Valno Peterson, custodian. The public is invited to attend the big Republican reception tonight (Thursday) at the Forbes school in American Fork, accord ing to Dean Evans, Lehi precinct chairman. Engineering Aids Needed in Utah Flood Disaster Areas Engineering Aids are urgently needed to carry out a Flood Rehabilitation program in disaster areas in Utah, according to Ralph H. Felker of the Soil Conservation Service. Both permanent and temporary positions exist at various locations in Utah. Applications are being received at all local offices of the State Employment Service and the U. S. Soil Conservation Service. Applicants should have experience in the operation of engineering instruments. Applicants in the Lehi area should apply at Soil Conservation Service office in Provo or Salt Lake City. iPDEir mDD5TS Forest Ranger Issues Warning To Hunters An urgent warning to deer hunters that the fire hazard in the mountains is acute this year has been sounded by Wallace M. Saling, American Fork district forest ranger. Mr. Saling reports that the brush is heavy and extremely dry, making the fire hazard much worse than it has been In many years.
