Show THE LEHI FREE PRESS, LEHL UTAH Friday, April 18, 1952 City to Accept Bids on City Drain Project (Continued from Front Page) ler. Fourth Ward, and Wane Chrlstensen. Fifth Ward. The committee is expected to get underway as soon as possible. Federated Women's Clubs Mrs. Paul Peterson and Mrs. Allen Wells, representing Lehi's five Federated Women's clubs met .with the council to ask for city aid in purchasing a new infant incubator for the city hospital. The clubs have just purchased new baby bassinets and presented them to the hospital nursery. The women thanked the City Council for their improvements in the new nursery, which included the installation of new floor coverings, new blinds, new cupboard, new drain board, new window in the door, and new paint job throughout. When proceeds are all in from the book review recently sponsored by the clubs for the hospital benefit, they will have nearly enough money to purchase an incubator for the nursery. Mrs. Peterson pointed out that the group will lack only about $20 of the $250 required for the incubator, and the Council agreed to make up the difference. The clubs have investigated different types of incubators, and will purchase the equipment after consulting Dr. Elmo Eddington and Dr. Boyd J. Larsen. Mrs Peterson emphasized that all equipment purchased by the women's clubs is of the type that can be moved and installed in a new hospital, if Lehi is able to build one. Clubs represented in the hospital project are Auctus, Athenian, Olympian, Federated Worn ens Clubs to Hold 7P7l(P(P7d7m Convention at Orem Saturday The spring convention of the Timpanogos First District Federated Women's Clubs will be held in Orem Saturday, April i9, at Ward the Orem church. The city cannot furnish funds to mow the lawns and care for the grounds not under perpetual care; it is unfair to people who have subscribed to the city's perpetual care plan, he declared. Last year the city planted and watered nearly all of the cemetery and it is now in fairly good condition throughout. However, funds appropriated this year will only care for the lots which have been placed under perpetual care. All others will have to be cared for by the owners, he stated. Darrell G.
