Marcia, 8, was on the program once. The programs appear Fridays at 6:00 p. m. The young dancers are the children of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. (Ferd) Evans. Worltons Return From New England Visit Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Worlton and their daughter. Miss Anne Worlton, returned Saturday from an extended visit and tour of the New England section. They report a most happy and successful trip, Dr. Worlton also completing a course of study of the newest and best methods in dentistry. They visited with Lt. and Mrs. Leon Hunsaker (their daughter Margaret) and the Hunsaker's little daughter, Claudia, returned with them. Lt. Hunsaker, of the U.S. Air Force, has just completed a course in aeronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Cambridge, Mass., and has been assigned to three years duty in England. It will be recalled that he served for 2Vi years with the Air Force during World War II. Lt. and Mrs. Hunsaker will visit here and in Deweyville, Box Elder County, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cloon Hunsaker, before he reports at New Jersey, September 18. Mrs. Hunsaker and their daughter will join him overseas in a months time. Lt. Hunsaker was the only one of a group of 25 graduates to be assigned to England, his preference. Mrs. George H. Smith entertained at dinner Wednesday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Parsons and son and daughter, Stewart and Linda, here from San Bruno, California, and Mrs. Parson's mother, Mrs. Linda Jensen of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brown and family joined the group for an enjoyable Home after two weeks of varied experience on their extensive tour of the East, Mayor and Mrs. George V.- Leany report a most enjoyable trip. They were accompanied by Patriarch and Mrs. A. Carlos Schow. With them, also, went their young daughter. Miss Colleen Leany, for her first visit to the Eastern shrines and landmarks. One of the highlights of the trip was their attendance at the sacred pageant on the Hill and the testimonial in the Sacred Grove in New York. Enroute, they visited the cities of Chicago and Milwaukee, going around the tip of Lake Michigan, on to Detroit, into Canada to the s Niagra Falls. In New York City, they ascended the Empire State Building for the view from the tallest building in the world, and took a boat trip around Manhattan Island. They arrived through Albany, leaving by way of Philadelphia and Pittsburg, with a stop at Gettysburg, where they viewed the battleground and the spot where Lin coln made his immortal address. LDS landmarks were viewed on the way back. Included were the jail at Carthage, 111., the temple site and historic homes at Nau-voreturning by way of Denver. - Cu-mor- ah world-famou- o, Lehi Garden Club Holds Canyon Party The annual canyon party of the Lehi Garden Club was held, Friday evening at Cave Camp in American Fork canyon. A barbe-qu- e dinner, program and visiting around the camp fire were enjoyed. Including groups from the American Fork and Pleasant Grove clubs, some 65 attended. A long table, spread beneath the trees, was decorated with pleasing arrangements of garden flowers in late summer shades. Club President LaVar Carlson performed the duties of host and announcer. Following a short period of community singing, the program was composed of accordion selections by Johnny Southwick; readings, Mrs. Frank W. Jones, and vocal duets, Mrs. Shirlef Powell and Margaret McMillan. Lehi gardeners were invited to participate in and attend the American Fork and Pleasant Grove flower shows, September 3, and September 13, respectively. They, in turn, were invited to Lehi's show, Sptember 15, and 16. Mrs. Roy L. Ferman served as party chairman, assisted by Miss Viva Taylor and Mrs. Dora Stine. Mrs. Harold M. Fox was program chairman. Health Welfare Pension Plan An advisory committee of ex perts has been appointed by the Wage Stabilization Board to develop stabilization policy on health, welfare and pension programs. Economic Stabilization Admini strator Eric Johnston, ' who requested the WSB to prepare regu lations on fringe benefits, said in a letter to the Board: "Health, welfare and pension benefits in general do not constitute payments which in fact compensate for increases in the cost of living. Nor do they add to the purchasing power of work ers and thus to inflationary pres sures."
