Barnes, publicity manager V At this holiday season of the year, the Lehi Riding Club wishes to express their apprecation to their many loyal supporters throughout the community, who have for the past several years, accepted of their mistakes along with their successes. The club will in the future, as they have in the past, exercise their efforts in any way they can toward making for a bigger and better Lehi, and will favor any worthwhile project for the good i . Combined Efforts of Civic Groups Are Reflected In Cemetery Beautification Numbered among the community projects in which the Women's Federated clubs have participated during 1949 is the beautification of the entrance to the City cemetery. In selecting a long-ter- m proworthwhile activities ject, many were suggested, but the ladies felt that the one needing the most immediate attention was the City cemetery. Representative of the Athenian, Auctus, Liahionian, and Olympic clubs met with the mayor and council and presented their plan for cemetery beautification which was approved.. This raised other problems pertinent to the cemetery such as fencing, sufficient water supply, pipe lines, methods of financing, etc. Because of the immensity of the project, representatves of all the civic clubs were called to meet to discuss a plan on the beautfication of the entire ceme tery. As a result, each civic group pledged themselves to give their wholehearted support, and a committee was appointed to serve" as a planning board. it wU, - , . 1 good to LEHI DA1ICE SET AUCTUS CLUB LOOKS you're fitting in. MARYS THRILLS By H. C. Evans He must have been a precious little baby. Most babies are that I have chanced to know His mother must have1 thrilled at every whimper, To see him kick and smile ,and watch him grow, To watch him romp and play at work or study, A humble kind of strong and brilliant boy. And even while conversing with those lawyers It must have thrilled her heart with pride and joy. He calmed and raging sea, and healed the leper He walked upon the water raised the dead She must have thrilled at every word and action of Everything he did and all he said She sorrowed when he was betrayed and smitten That's one thing every mother's sure to do But when he prayed it thrilled her to the center Forgive them Lord; they know not what they do.
