Dinner was served to the guest of honor and Mr. Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Boyce, Mrs. Leone Nostrom, all of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Comer and son, Jimmy, Mr and Mrs. C. BIRTHDAY PARTY HONORS DAUGHTER Mrs. Hazel Price entertained at a party Thursday evening, honoring her daughter, Rhonda, on her 12th birthday anniver sary. Dainty refreshments were served to Judy Peck, Colleen Leany, Kathleen Evans, Ra Nae Price, Colleen Slater, Deanna Chilton and Daryhl I landman. Card table games were played and prizes were awarded to Ra Nae Price and Deanna Chilton. 104 honored at a reception held Friday evening, in the Bryan Ward Chapel. The bride chose for the occasion, a white taffeta and net gown fashioned with a cuff neckline and a full train. Her veil fell from a crown finger-ti- p of lilies of the valley and her bouquet wsa of yellow roses centered with an orchid. Miss Janet Paul was maid of honor and her gown was of apple green. Bridesmaids were Miss Betty Jean Houston and Miss Ina Paul whose dresses were gold color with pyramid collars and short sleeves. They carried fan bouquets of carnations. Tiny Carol Jean Gale was the flower girl and wore a yellow taffeta frock and carried a basket of sweet peas. Acting as best man for his brother was Jay Higginson of Lehi. Ushers were Daniel e, Arthur Halladay, Eldon Gale, Raymond Peterson and Larry Krantz. Among those assisting with the reception was Miss Joanne Jensen, sister of the groom. Major operations: Mrs. Nellie Mildred Mrs. Winslow and Christiansen. Mrs. Gay Whipple, whose condition remains the same, celebrated her 83rd birthday at the Lehi Hospital on April 25. Many friends called to bring gifts and wish her many happy returns of the day. Mrs. Boyd Smuin and Mrs. Clovis Hill were in charge of decorations. Last Thursday, April 21, the 5th period New Testament Seminary class went on a swimming party to Saratoga. Mr. Wright and Boyd LehnAerg took the students in their cars. There were ten students who went and they took lunches. LHS TEACHER TRAINERS Louis Brown is the trainer teacher for Mr. Westover. He is a Senior at the B. Y. U. and is major is Composite in Math., Chemistry, and Geology. His hometown is Midvale, Utah, and he was in the Army for two and one-ha- lf years, in Europe. He is looking, but married good very and has a little boy. LHS Bruce Osborne is the Phys. Ed. trainer for the boys. He is from Beaver, Utah, and a senior at the B. Y. U. majoirng in Physical Education. In school he lettered two years in track and four years in football. He was in the Marines for four years. LHS Call is the trainer Shirley teacher in Phys. Ed. for the girls in the afternoon. Her home town is Vernal, Utah She is a Senior at the B. Y. U. and is majoring in Phys. Ed. and minoring in Speech. She says teaching is her first love, but that doesn't in clude the senior girls. LHS Dean Roberts, who is the train' er teacher for the type classes and the office practice class, is from Dayton, Ohio. In interview ing Mr. Roberts, we find that he has been a very busy person for many years. He used to play football in high school, but he says that he couldn't compete with the big boys in college. She is a resident pf Provo and has attended the U. of U. and the B. Y. U. She is a graduate of the B. Y. U., where she majored in zoology. She likes biology the best and is buying a car so that she can go looking for specimens (bugs). Mr. Howard has attended the University of Colorado, Fort Louis College, and the B. Y. U. He majored in social science, which is history, political science, and economis.
