In the firsi tilt, played at American Fork, August 7, Lehi took the measure of the Forkers with a 14 to 4 win. The victory for the locals was attributed to outstanding performances by Harold Fox, Jerry Peck, Neil Manning and Ralph Powers. Last Monday, American Folk rs won a thriller from Lehi 10 to G on the local Softball field. Lehi held a 5 to 0 lead at the end of the fourth inning, but errors in the field allowed the ''visitors to bring across six runs m the first half of the sixth frame. Lehi then tied the score in the sixth inning, only to go behind again in the seventh when American Fork scored four more runs. ROBBERY Juvenile delinquency came to the fore in Lehi this week with the report of the theft of two cam eo rings valued at $50 from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Fox by two local youths. According to investigating officer, Marshall George A. Ricks, two Lehi boys entered the home while the residents were away for a short time. After picking up the rings early Tuesday morning, the youths endeavored to sell them to Harold Hutchings, manager of the Lone Eagle Trading Post on Main street Mr. Hutchings kept the rings and reported the incident to the local police who picked the boys up for questioning. Marshall Ricks returned the rings to the owner Wednesday and released the youth to the custody of their parents. Officers are now conferring with juvenile authorities to determine what charges will be filed in the case. The officials stated the purpose of the electrical and building inspections are for the benefit and protection of the public against inferior and unsatisfactory workmanship and construction. After the electrical fee has been paid or the building permit obtained, residents are entitled to inspection at regular intervals. Cost of the building permit and amount of the electrical fee is based on value of the building and the number of outlets. Permits arc to be obtained from the building inspector and the electrical fee is to be paid to the electrical inspector. Failure to comply with these regulations, the officials point out, is a misdemeanor and punishable under the city ordinances. Bishop and Mrs. Lester M. Norberg. Miss Norberg will wed R. Dean Rothe, son of. Mr. and Mrs. Max Rothe, of Lehi. in the Salt Lake Temple, Tuesday September 2. A wedding reception the following day at the home of the bride's parents will honor the young couple. Miss Norberg graduated from the Lehi High school as an honor student of the class of '44. While in school she participated actively in school functions, having taken part in the school opera, was a member of the year book staff, played the saxophone in the band and was a member of the Junior Prom committee Since her graduation from high school she has been a student at the Brigham Young university where she is majoring in dietics. She is a member of Gamma Phi, BYU social unit. From time to time she has served as nurses aid in the Lehi hospital. An active member of the Lehi Fourth ward, she has taught in both the Primary and Sunday school. Mr. Rothe is a graduate of the Lehi High school, where he served on the year book staff. Following his graduation he fulfilled a mission in Texas and served with the U. S. Army during World Lar II as a radio technician. He graduated from the Brigham Young university School of Business this spring, and has recently received a scholarship to New York university where he will study for his Masters' degree. While at the BYU he was a member of the Vikings social unit. An active member of the Lehi Fourth ward, he is counselor in the Sunday School and has served as teacher in many church units. The young couple plans to make their home in New York while Mr. Rothe continues his two-ye- . . Lehi Nine girls were honored at Primary graduation ceremonies con ducted Sunday, August 3 in the Lehi Fifth ward chapel. Karleen Flygare was the first speaker and was followed by a vocal duet number by Sylvia Hayes and Mary Jo Ingram. A talk was then given by Colleen Ball and Barbara Johnson rendered a piano solo. Concluding the graduates participation in the program, a talk was given by Elaine Busker and the entire Seagull group sang, "Is The Story True." The Seagull graduation class was then presented to the Pri mary President, Adith Southwick who awarded them the graduation certificates and presented them to Mutual President Alta Webb, who welcomed them into the MIA organiation.
