L TALK ABOUT Public hearing on the budget for Lehi. aDDroved Tuesday evening by the city council, will be held Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p. m, in Memorial halL City Recorder B. J. Lott announc ed Wednesday. According to the budget the city will impose a levy of 21.5 mills ($21.50 per $1,000 valuation) on a total assessed valuation of $1,162,893. The levy and the assessed valuation, if adopted at the public meeting, will be the same as for this year. The levy of 21.5 mills is up to the statuatutory limit and can not be raised unless approved at an election. For the most part, estimated revenues and expenditures follow this year's pattern. Notable exceptions are the Memorial Fund, for which the levy has been increased 1 mill: increased Public Safety disbursement; add ed Street Registration disbursement: deletion of the Bond In terest disbursement and the in crease in Business License revenue. The Memorial Fund levy has been increased to take care of planned interior and exterior re novation and beautification of the buildng. Increase in the Pub lic bafety disbursement is due to the fact that the fines and county fire aid now included in this fund formerly was included in the Contingent Fund. The add ed Street Registration disburse ment is merely to simplify office recordsMoney here is expended only upon the approval of the State Road Commission at the re RIFLE CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS MONDAY The recently organized Lehi Rifle Club held a meeting Monday evening at 7:30 in the Memorial building. Main business of the evening was the election of officers for the coming year. Officers elected were. Harold Hutchings, president; E. A. Harding, publicity chairman; and the following board of directors: Tom Woffinden, Keith Eott and Bob Webb. The next meeting of the organization is scheduled for next Monday evening at 7:30 p. m.
