Although the contest does not close until August 1st, considerable interest is already in evidence, and all those who intend to submit letters are urged to do so as soon as possible. Prizes of $50 to $150 in United States war bonds, series E, are offered for the best letters telling "how our family is using electricity to help produce food for victory." Any member of the family may 'write a letter, and the only requirement is that each letter tell the simple facts about the uses to which electricity is put by the family of the writer. Letters may be as long or short as desired. forms containing full details of the contest, and space for a letter, are available at any Utah Power & Ligh. Company office, betters may be submitted on the special form, or on any piece of paper. The purpose of the contest, as explained by power company officials,' is to call wider attention to the job electricity is doing on thevital' front. The contest has been set up to, give everyone as nearly as possible an equal chance by dividing the territory served by the Utah Power & Light Company into districts, with a $50 war bond offered as a prize in each district Winners of the district prizes automatically become eligible for grand prizes which range from $25 to $100, thus, making it possible for a contestant to win as much as $150 in war bonds. Judges, whose names will be announced later, will be persons interested in agriculture and food production. Con-Tenie- nt on State Street. 92.
