An authority on the earth structure of the State of Utah, Mr. Buranek will be able to tell the stories, oddities, and wonders of the creation as few can. Mr. Buranek is also an authority on rocks and the effect of different light rays on them. Among his collection are many rocks that respond to the black ray and that turn the commonest of grays to the most beautiful colors of the rainbow. Those who attend will leave with a lasting impression that rocks are not Just the stumbling stones along tfie way but have a romance all of their own with characters deeper than the dull "skin" as appears on the surface. All are invited to enjoy this educational opportunity along with the Boy Scouts of Lehi who will start the Anniversary of Scouting with one of the best Court of Honor Lhi has ever had. For nourishing food is going a long way toward building strength and morale on the home front. At the same time, women are being called upon to conserve food as a wartime necessity. This means they must use every ingenuity to eliminate waste and get the most out of the food they buy. How to make their meat go further seems to be a subject 6f especial interest, since building meals around this food is an American tradition. So home economics experts have come to the rescue with all sorts of ideas and recipes designed to extend the meat purchase as far as possible. Here are a few of many practical ideas along this line.
