The purpose of the order is to assure an adequate quantity of natural gas for war pro duction and essential civilian needs, in addition to protecting the supply required by present customers. This purpose will be accomplished by placing restrictions on all new or increased uses in of natural gas, except the gas used for cocking, refrigeration and residences.
