UTAH THURSDAY, MARCH , QJJ Factory M.ea(Q)pei JJtah County is the birthplace of the beet sugar industry in. the intermountain west and the home of the first beet sugar factory in America. In the half century that has elapsed since then, this industry has meant hundreds of millions of dollars to the state and scores of millions to Utah county. Upwards of 22,000 acres of the of the factory will benefit everyone in the county. Besides the million-dollbeet payroll, it will restore an annual factory payroll of $300X00 or more; it will pay sums through taxes for the building of roads, the maintenance of schools and the performance of other governmental services. THE FIRST STEP to assure the of the factory will be the securing of contracts for 8,000 acres of beets in the factory district.
