Oil HIGHWAY 11,11 DeNae Powell, 6, daughter of Mrs. Ralph Powell, died at the Lehi Hospital, Wednesday afternoon from injuries received when she waa struck by a car on the state highway in front of her home a few hours ' earlier. The child ran from her home going from behind a northbound truck directly into the path of a south nt bound car driven by John H. of Midvale. Passengers in the Marchant car were Mr. Marchaht'a parents. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur of Midvale. It is reported that Mr. Marchant saw the child as she ran from behind the truck and swerved his car in au attempt to miss her, but the door of the car struck her head. Mr. and Mrs. Powell were in in Salt Lake City at the time of the accident. The accident was investigaed by Lehi City Marshal Rex Gardner and State patolman, Harris. She was born. May 12, 1935, and one is survived by her parents, brother, Gene, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A, Turner, all of Lehi, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Powell of Andews, North Carolina.
