AT REASONABLE THE FOUR PRICES CORNERSTONES We must keep uppermost in the minds of the American people that freedom of press, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly are the four cornerstones upon which liberty rests. We must make it plain that if one of these cornerstones is demolished, the others will crumble. Freedom of the press cannot be destroyed if we want the other freedoms to exist. The same is true with the other freedoms each depends upon the other. Liberty in the United States can only stand on solid pillars. New York Times. Garrett UNION MEETING Presenting the Marx Brothers Groucho, Chico and Harpo in their first "period picture," "Go West," a wild and woolly comedy laid in the 1870 outdoors, comes to the Royal Theare next Sunday and Monday. The Marxes say this is their epic Western to end all Westerns. It is the first time anyone has ever poked fun at the big bad men, sirens, lovely heroines and brave The heroes of the Early West. Marxes do so by making the picture a howl from start to finish. To help things along, they don pioneer-dahard-boile- d y' costumes, revamped to suit their own ideas. They are aided in their fun and excitement by a stellar cast which includes John Carroll, Diana Lewis, Walter Woolf King and Robert Barrat. These were put through laugh paces by Director Edward Buzzell. and the picture was repro duced by Jack Cummings. Mirth and Music The film is full of music, with a piano solo by Chico, harp number by Harpo. songs by Carroll and Miss Lewis, comedy yodeling by Groucho, and a fast "Can-Can- " dance by a group of chorines. The story is all about the three Marxes adventures when they go West to look for gold in Colorado and find that a group of villians are conspiring to rob the hero and heroine of a deed to some land the railroad wants. They leap into the plot, and the fun never stops until the whole ca winds up racing wildly over a Early American train. fast-movi- c f lew f ) I CTv telephone Uirectory 3s (joinq to jPrete If you want a telephone or if you need any changes in your present listing, please tell us now.
