Mr. Taylor was born in Lehi, November 7, 1850, a son of James Whitehead and Ann Rogers Taylor, He had lived early Lehi Pioners. nearly all his life in Lehi and was a member of the L. D. S. Church He was a farmer and was field superintendent of the Idaho Falls district o for the Sugar Co. M. Gaethe, 49, C C C truck driver of 317 Maple avenue, Salt Lake City, was in the Lehi city jail Tuesday night booked for asserted drunken driving following an automobile accident two miles north of Lehi in which six Salt Lake City people narrowly escaped injury. Gaethe was driving his truck north when it crashed into a four-whetrailer loaded with lumber and pulled by a car driven by Ernest C. Clayton, 36, also of Salt Lake City, according to Sergeant Elmer Loveless of the state highway patrol. Thursday. Most seriously injured was the driver, Ben Garlick, 21. He is receiving treatment at the Lehi hospital for a broken arm, shock and possible internal injuries. Three other passengers of the car were injured as follows: Darrell Greening, 19, cuts and bruises Carl Clark, 19, cuts on the face, and Geo. McCandless. 21, cuts and bruises. The three were released from the Lehi hospital this morning. According to Deputy Sheriff J. J. Mercer of American Fork, who investigated, the Garlick car rolled over twice when it struck loose gravel as the youths were returning to American Fork from Cedar Fort.
