"Besides cutting eight mile off the distance of the present highway between Salt Lake City and Provo, it will furnish a beautiful scenic drive through the mountains," Mr. Smith said. The highway will run close to the site of the Deer Creek aqueduct. The movement long has been planned by the club, and money was recently appropriated by the Salt Lake county commission for its portion.
