Goodwin, who has served n the bishopric for a number of years. C- - L- Ash was chosen to succeed Mr. Peterson. Mr. Peterson has served faithfully and well and has won the love and respect of the entire Second Ward by his tireless service. C. L. Ash is to take the place of George Peterson, farmer second counselor to Bishop S- I. Goodwin. Mr. Peterson just recently resigned and it was decided that Mr- - Ash would be just the man to take his place. The Relief Society was completely reorganized with Mrs. A. W. Davis as president, Mrs- T. F. Kirkham as first counselor, Mrs. Booth Soren-so- n as second counselor ad Mrs. Le- Former Roy Logsdon as secretary. officers were Mrs Eugene Webb, MrsLeRny Davis, Mrs. Robert Allred and Mrs. Urban Johnson- The retiring Relief Society o.Ticers have also worked tirelessly for a long period in the ward work and hav? shown their splendid characters in their work in the relief among those in need. The new officers are well chosen and will unodubtedly carry on the work of their successors in an able manner. Early Sunday morning Mr. Smith heard a shot, got up and saw a man crossing the fence to get into his lot for a chicken he had just shot. Mr. Smith went out and as he came nearer to the car the man left, fearing he would be caught. Mr. Smith obtained the car license number notified Marshal Fowler, together they checked and founl that the car belonged to Mr. Morrison of Salt Lake. Tuesday they got a warrant of arrest, went to Salt Lake and arrested the man. He was let off on $24 bail till the time of the hearing which was Monday at 5 o'clock. REPORT OF AMERICAN LEGION MEETING Fon Rothe, son of Mr- and Mrs. Max Rothe, has been called to fulfill a two year mission in the Northern States mission field. Mr. Rothe will begin mission school in Salt Lake City, November 16 and will leave Lehi December 3 for the mission field Allan Webb, son of Mr- and Mrs E. N. Wrebb, recently received a call to the Texas mission field He will attend the mission school at the same time as Mr- Rothe and will leave on the same date also. Both boys are capable of becoming good missionaries. Farewell programs will be given in honor of these two boys within the near future. COSTUME Dear Patron: During the week of October 26 to 30 the junior and senior high school boys and girls will be permitted to remain home to aid with fall work. The first three days of the week will be devoted to home visiting by teach ers. During the latter part of the week, the teachers will attend the Utah Education Association Convention in Salt Lake City. Quite often we have had visiting days at school, but very rarely, if ever, have we asked the privilege of having a Home Visiting Day or Period. During this Home Visiting Period the census of the school children will be taken, but the main object of the visit will be to contact the parents of children who are attending school and to discuss problems of the children with the parents, and likewise, to permit the parents to ask questions of the teacher that the parents think important concerning their children.
