FARM BUREAU tee nres H M. I. A. PONY EXPRESS GELE. Three Lehi Scouts, Russell Schow, Glen Hadfield, were privileged to ride in the Pony Expree celebration (Tuesday morning. The Pony express letters, one from each governor of the states crossed were carried by boat from San Francisco to Sacramento, Calif, and by pony express to St. Joseph Mis. The riders were boy scouts. From St. Joseph, Mis. the mail will be carried by airpane to Washington D. C, and delivered to President Roosevelt. Each carrier signed his name on a parchment roll carried by officials of the trails association, who accompanied the pony riders by auto. A fine program was hed Monday evening at Camp Floyd, one of the stations of the early Pony Express riders. The mail was married from there to the site of the old Dorton well by Charles Carson. Jr., who delivered the pouch to Russell Schow. Russell carried the mail to the river bridge and handed it to Ward Clark, who rode to Lehi on Fifth West Street, then up to the State Highway to the Western tracks where the pouch was delivered to Glen Hadfield Glen, carried it to the Point of the Mountain where the Salt Lake Co. Scouts were waiting" their turn to continue on the route. Soon after the carrier left Dorton's well, a group of scouts, representing Indians held up the carrier in an attempted to rob the mail.
