Worlton Madfre the graduates, The DIAMOND DRILLING STARTED MONDAY ON DEER CREEK Indications that the government intends to pursue work on the Deer Creek project in earnest were seen Saturday with the arrival of three reclamation service officials and diamond drillers to Provo. Test holes will be sunk to bedrock at the different dam sites in Trovo canyon, beginning Monday morning. Although some little drilling was done during the preliminary investigation a few months ago, the drillers will complete the testing work at this time to enable the engineers to proceed w ith the plans for the huge dam. Pat Tierney and two other drillers arrived in Provo, Saturday, ready to start work on the various dam sites, Monday morning. The metropolitan water district election on June 18 is one of the preliminaries necessary before the project can go on permanently. Should the supreme court ruling be adverse, the election will not be held. In that case another form of organization will have to be worked out. CLEAN UP ON DUMP GROUNDS COMPLETE The cleanup of the city dump grounds will be complete this week. The dump is now in fine condition and signs placed on the dump in order to keep the trash where it belongs. People ae asked to please read the notices and observe them.
