The High School Auditorium and halls were filled to overflowing with happy, expectant youngsters who enjoyed the snappy program arranged by the committee in charge. Following the program eight hundred and fifty bags of candy, nuts and oranges were given to the children under the sixth grade of school. One hundred and fifty haps were taken to homes and distributed to the children who were ill or unable to attend the program. Forty-tw- o bags were sent to Fairfield for those unable to attend the Lehi party and fifty were sent to Cedar Fort for the same purpose. There are still a number of bags on hand and the committee in charge request that any child who was miss-- 4 be reported to E. N. Webb as soon aa possible and a bag will be sent those who were missed. The Community Christmas this year was sponsored by the C. W. R. P. Union and the Lions Club. They report the total cost of the affair to be $75.66. Of this amount $67.36 was raised at the recent dance sponsored by the Lions and C. W. R. P. Union at the Dans Art. Chairman E. N. Webb and those working with him wish to thank all those who assisted In any way in making the affair such a success, the Lehi public for their splendid support, the committees who worked so faithfully and ail those who assisted at the program. JANE BRIGGS Mrs. June Scorey Briggs, , died at the local hospital Sunday of a broken hip and diabetes. She was born January 11, 1855, at Urokenhurst, England, a daughter of George and Ann Light Scorey. She came to Lehi In 1879 and lived with her sister, Mrs. Kiel Gilchrist. Six months later, on April 23, 1880, she married Samuel Briggs, Jr. She was a membed of the old J.ehl First Ward choir and for seveal years worked as a Latterday Saint Relief Society teacher in the Fourth Ward. She was never blessed with children of her own. Funeral services will be held in the Lehl Fourth Ward Chapel, Thursday, (today) at 2 p. m. With interment in the Lehl cemetery.
