MAIN BIRTHDAY FOURTH WARD REUNION The Lehi Fourth Ward will hold their annual ward reunion on Wednesday, July 18th on the Fourth Ward field recreational (Chrisoffero 2 m. to 6 p. m. from p. field) Arrangements are being made for a baseball game, races and other outdoor contests, followed by refreshents. with a dance in the ward chapel at night closing the activities. Work on the study room, above the Auditorium hall was began last winter and the room will be complete for the beginning of the school year. PLANT MAY BE BROUGHT HERE The Lehi Lions Club, Community and Farm Betterment Committee Bureau are uniting their efforts in an attempt to bring to Lehi a government meat processing plant. The plant to be located at the old Lehi Sugar fac tory. Committee have already met wtih the Utah County authorities who are reported favorable for the Lehi site. The site and plant would have to meet the approval of the government. This plant will be located somewhere in Utah County and it i hoped that it can be obtained by the Lehi LARGE PUMPS ARRIVE FOIt PELICAN POINT Two large pumps for use at the Pelican Point canal were shipped into Lehi on the Orem, Thursday, and were hauled by large trucks to Pelican Point ready for InstsJlatlon. Reports from the canal workings are that satisfactory progress Is being made and that the work is expected to be finished on schedule. Mrs. Anna R. Carlyle celebrated her 95th birthday anniversary on Monday, July 2. She was born in Kanton, Zurich, Switzerland, on July 2, 1839. She became a member of the Latterday Saint Church on August 28. 1871, and emigrated to Utah in 1872, arriving in Salt Lake City on July 4, 1872. Mrs. Carlyle spent a number of years In Heber where she lived the life of the pioneer and assisted in building up that part of the state. She has been a resident of Lehi for the past 19 years and has made a host of friends during her sojourn here, who wish her health, happiness and many more happy ROAD WORKERS FROLIC The Lehi State Road crew met the Midvale road crew In a baseball game at Saratoga. H. Fowler, passed away at hU home in Drife'gs, Idaho, Tuesday afternoon from a sudden heart attack. Mr. Fowler was born and raised in Lehi. He attended the public schools here and wius well known for his playing on the baseball diamond. He married Lillian McDaniel of Alpine and for a time made his home in Tooele, going from there to Driggs, Idaho, where the family have made their home. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Virginia and Vida Fower and a son Ray Fowler, all of Driggs, Idaho. His father, E. H. Fowler; and the following brothers and sisters: Daryl and JCyron Fowler of Lehi; Mrs. Xadine Brown of Payson; Mrs. Retta Thompson of Salt Lake City; Lynn Fowler of Lehi; Alton Fowler of Bolder City, Nevada; and Milieu Fowler of Lehi.
