Val Sundwall, M. D. Announcement has been made of the marriage of May Walker, daughter of Mrs. Hershel Walker, of Lehi, to Karl Andreason, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Andreason of American Fork. The ceremony was completed in Provo, November 28. They will make their home in American Fork. HIGH SCHOOL FACULTY ENTERTAIN TEACHERS One of the iolliest events of the season was the party given by the high school faculty Monday evening in the high school when the teachers of Lehi were entertained at a Xmas party. The party was the first of three to be given by the teachers with a different group of teachers in charge of each party. The time was spent in a treasure hunt, mixers and stunts, the guests being divideo into six groups. A Christmas luncheon was served theme. Christmas following the Santa Claus appeared during the luncheon and distributed stockings of candy, nuts and fruits to the guests, Santa also presented most of those present with gifts wrapped in gay Christmas wrappings, thereby solving the many mysterious burglaries and the disappearance of many personal belongings during the past week, as each parcel contained some article "borrowed' from the person receiving the gift The committee in charge was Evan Croft, chairman; Ethel Hall, Mrs. Ora K. Putnam, Annie Carol Proctor, Elizabeth Romney, Maud Partridge, LeRoy Loveridge, Junius Banks, Jos. Robison and Ray Durnell. Mr. Special invited guests were: and Mrs. Edward Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Two Lehi bovs stand out among nine of the Brigham Young University who seem assured of a place on the squad of twelve which will make the trip through Colorado to play a series of practice games this winter. Jav Whitman and WSiburn Ball, or vvmt and Jay, the "Fifth Ward twins," played such a class of ball in the first games last week that they are practically assured of a place among the travelers. Whitman bids high for a permanent birth on the guard line this year. while Ball attracted the attention of the fans for the first time last week in the alumni games, when he was put in the last ouarter of the game una pmcti six neia snois tnrougn xne hoop. We have been continually reminded of "depression" which has brought before us a hundred woes, everybody with his own and his share of the Through it all, general difficulties. however, we are still here, still mustering courage to meet the future, bouying ourselves for what may come. Out of all this, one thing above all we are learnothers is praiseworthy to one another, to share, and help ing to give. We have "A good place to live" and we want it to always be that We have our own water system and our own light plant, though" not paid for, we are surely headed in the right direction. These two institutions can only survive, continue to serve us, through the loyal support of us all. There is no other town of like size in Utah that is so well provided with street lighting as Lehi, and this has been made possible by having our own Municipal Plant The service rendered the homes of our people by this plant cannot be excelled and at no greater cost. If the people will continue to support this home industry, pay promptly for the service rendered, it will not be many years until the plant will be free from obligation. Then we will be able to finance a great portion of our Municipal Expenses with the returns from this plant Pay your light bills promptly and boost your own. We need not ask people to support the water system in the way of sub scribing for water for that is not we do need more wholehearted support in paying for this service by a great number of water users. The charges made for this necessity in our homes is very nominal, but to keep the system up water must be paid for. We solicit your support. In our administration of city business, we have endeavored to do our best for the good of all. W)e are still human and prone to make mistakes, but we have tried to serve as we would be served and our hope is to so continue. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we hope that the New QWE THANK YOU AitT onen the doors of health ana happiness and prosperty lor her people.
