Richard Pe terson, of Salt lake City, formerly of Ferron, and Mr. Ray Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi L. Williams, of Castle Dale, were united in marriage in the Mantl temple. Wednesday. The couple were accompanied by the groom's parents. Both are popular young people of this county, the groom having taught in Emery school the past term, while the bride only recently returned from Oslo, Norway, where her father was president of the Norwegian mission for several years. The best wishes of a host of friends are extended to the young couple. o OSCAR NELSON Huntington Group Requests Release of Miller's Flat Project La meeting of the state water Tuesday, a delegation U Sanpete county and Castlect L requested the board to ap-fa committee of four to m with tr.e two counues, am-thein getting lined up for Lai work on reclamation pro- deleIts in these counties, tion from Huntington attend - a meeting a.:a requesiea the it the board recommend ease of the Miller's Flat res- loir from the reclamation ser- so that tr.e water users oi t district might proceed with I dam under a PWA setup. the She committee named, at the Lest of north Sanpete and fctle Dale delegations, to as- lt irrigators in those regions put themselves in a position contracts enter repayment St. the federal government, if projects were ap- kved were as follows: Herbert John M. The board therefore went on record favoring the release of the Miller's Flat reservoir project from thj reclamation service providing it did not conflict with the interests of the public. It was felt by all present that this motion would hinder the Miller's Flat project, due to the fact that any other govern ment agency through which the dam was sought would seek the data and recommendation of the bureau of reclamation. Ihe bur eau in this event would undoubt edly report that this dam would not serve the best Interests of the people to the extent that the Joe's valley dam would. This point was brought out by E. G Nielsen, who commented repeat edly on the superiority of the proposed Joe's valley dam, basing his remarks on facts obtained by the bureau of reclamation investigation. o Castle Dale Ready For Civic Club meet Funeral services for Oscar a resident of Ferron for 43 years, were held Wednesday at the L.D.
