With Richard Dix sharing the starring honors with Chester Morris and Joan Fontaine, the film is laid against a background of big flying school and reveals interesting sidelinghts on the training of student pilots. Harry Carey and Paul Guilfoyle play the chief supporting roles. Carey is the strict commant- ant of the school and Dix his right-han- d man, an old time flier with little sympathy for Carey's stern ideas of discipline. When Carey's son, Chester Morris, comes to the school as a student, the romantic and tal conflict begins. The stirring climax comes during an attempted mapping flight over Alaska for a new air route to Europe, and furnishes countless new thrills in screen entertain ment. FERRON CCC The following members of Co. asked to be discharged to attend college: Hue Jewkes, Marvin Winkler, Lee Ralphs, Pershing Evans and Leland Tuft. Though the company dislikes to see these men lea"ve, it is proud of the fact that it has among its members such am Duious ana talented young men. Returning from a six day leave of absence, Wayne Brady and Orlan Mortensen talked of their long trip through the states of Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana. They visited Yellowstone National Park, Jack son Hole country and followed tor some distance the path of the Louis and Clark expedition. Twenty more men were sent to the spike camp on the Sky line drive where work on the contour trenching will be hurried up. Recent rains has somewhat delayed the work on the road building and erosion con trol, necessitating the speeding up of work for the remainder of the summer. Returning from a brief visit with his parents in California, Dan E. Sweet, camp educational adviser, is back on duty with plans of stimulating educational activity during the fall and winter months. The Ferron camp is slated to have a new educational building in the near future.
