Returning from his trip upstate, where he attended the state press convention Monday and Tuesday and visited with the home folks, ye editor took advantage of the opportunity of attending the South and Central Utah Good Roads convention at Salina on Saturday, which will explain the unearthly lateness of the Progress this week. Incidentally, we had the pleasure of making a trip over the Eph-raiend of the Orangeville-Ephrairoad as far as the Experimen station and found it one of the best in the state, though necessarily so steep that one is compelled to travel in low gear almost the whole length of the way. The Salina canyon road is in excellent condition except for a few short stretches, the flivver making the trip from Togo crossing to Castle Pale in three hours and twenty minutes. e The federal road gang of some forty-fivmen have about a quarter of a mile of road completed between Togo and Salina creek bridge, where the worst road is located. A full report of the road convention w ill be given in our next.
