The county now purposes to assist in the construction of the road for about a mile and a half beyond the town, the coal mine company agreeing to place the balance of the road in good shape, it is understood. Certain rightsofway, which have been real stumbling blocks in the way of properly Improving and maintaining the road heretofore, have now been arranged for and there will be no further difficulty on this score. The Feron road Is a larger piece of work but is equally important to the people of Ferron, Clawson, and Molen. who nave had to put up with a poor road for years. Considerable work has been done as far as the mill by local people and the mill off Idas, so that a pretty fair, road now exists for about five miles up the canyon. It is expected that some work will be done on this stretch to place it in better shape, but the main portion of the work to be done will be between this point and the forest boundary, the road being in bad shape the full extent of this stretch. The. forest department has offered to assist in a limited way beyond this point. ' It is understood that the citizens of the respective towns have shown a splendid spirit of cooperation In the matter of the construction of these roads, but no definite idea of the ex tent to which tho county will assist will be forthcoming - until the next meeting of the bqard, which will be held in June, though all members of the commission have expressed them selves as In favor of rendering all the assistance Sssible.
