The Campus Bicycle Subcommittee will use the money to install 20 new bike racks at the U. in places where few or no racks exist. The subcommittee also plans on forming a committee of people from the U. in the autumn to help in deciding where the money needs to be spent and to create policies for bikes on campus. "We're not trying to tell the bikers they're not wanted on campus," Mark Holmstrora, vice chair of the ASUU Assembly, said. "We are coming up with policies to help everyone." "The administration has serious no policies," he said. The subcommittee is in the process of contacting other schools and gathering information on other bicycle policies used around the nation. Holmstrom sponsored the bill that gained funding for the project. , Harry Corsi, coordinator of architectural projects for Campus Planning, is in the process of placing an additional 25 racks, provided by funding from the U. administration, around campus. "I rode my bike around campus to see where the problems were," Corsi said. "The racks will be installed mostly around central campus." Corsi said he receives calls and letters from different colleges and buildings around campus asking for bike racks.
