This time, instead of heading for the sunny coast of California, the Lady Utes were off to the breadbasket of our nation to take on both the University of Kansas and Northwestern. On Friday, the Lady Utes conceded their loss to the Jayhawks of Kansas, in a solid contest between two very evenly matched teams. Kansas boasts two of the best singles players in the country with Evelyn Hamers and the No. freshman in the country, 7-- 2, an Rebecca Jensen. Kansas proved to be the better team at home. The two winners for the women against Kansas were in singles action as Alison Bradford defeated Renee and Heidi Raychaudhuri Chinchillo defeated Casey Cooley 6-- 2, 6-- 4, 6-- 4, 2-- 6, 6-- 2.
