Utah is one of four NCAA teams vying for the New Mexico State Invitational title. Also competing in the event are Colorado. Wyoming and New Mexico. Six NCSA schools are also scheduled to compete in the event which will be the final one prior to next week's NCAA Western Regional Championships in Laramie, Wyo. Last week Utah finished second to Colorado for the second straight time, scoring 168 points to the Buffs' 185. The Ute alpine team turned in a fine e effort, led by junior Jatja Lesjak's finish in the giant slalom and a slalom finish by newcomer runner-u-p Slyvie Sejgneur. Utah's nordic team did not fare as well, but was bothered by illness going into the meet. "We had four cross country people at the doctor's this week," Utah coach score down.
