Mrs. Budge and Arthur Gibbs also attended the wedding at the Idaho Falls Temple and another reception at Arco, Ida. The new Mrs. Kennedy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ElVoid Gibbs. She is a graduate of BYU and filled a mission for the LDS Church in Australia and is a teacher of Business Education at Arco High School. Imm w m inn mini" ' Deweyville Girls Win Region Honors The girls Softball team of Deweyville ward took top regional honors by winning the region championship, and having one member of the team voted most valuable player. This team has played the stake, 'district and region schedules undefeated. Chief Don Carroll reported the driver avoided the A 14 year police car coming abreast by swerving in the roadway. Law enforcement officers had been alerted for a car stolen from Bountiful earlier in the evening. Miss Judy Hess and Miss Marilynn Fryer came from Salt Lake City to spend the weekend with their parents, the Glen Hess's and Wayne Fryers. For the first time the familiar sight of the big yellow school bus failed to "make the scene" on what should have been the first day of school. The failure of our Box Elder' County schools to open leaves both parents and students with a mixture of feelings. School Children Arrive Jennie Atene, an Indian girl from Arizona, has arrived to spend the school year with Mr. and Mrs. Loren John and family again. M., last week with her father, Jesse Lamb and chaperoned a bus load of Indian students to this area for the school year. . . Mrs. Delene Edwards and three of her children of Salt Lake City visited for several days last week with Mrs. Edward's sister. Mrs. Wynn John and family. Enjoy Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall returned home last week from a weeks vacation trip to points of interest in Montana, Stanley Yellowstone National Basin, Park, and Sun Valley. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. SISTERS ATTEND QUILTING Mrs. Wayne Francom hosted a quilting bee at her home on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The bee was held in preparation for Mrs. Fancom's daughter, Sally Jo Lindsey, who will be wed Sept. 9, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. Helping Mrs. Francom with the quilt on Monday were her sisters, Mrs. N. E. Larsen and Mrs. Verna Mrs. Painter, her sisters-in-law- , D. N. Drake and Mrs. W. C. Mary Anne Shumway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shumway, is spending three weeks at the home of her parents. After her visit in Tremonton she will return to Berkeley, Calif., where she is employed and is also doing post graduate work. Also at home with her parents is another daughter, Vera Gene.
