Contributions to the Bear River Valley Hospital Memorial Fund, previously administered by Mel Foxley, will be accepted hereafter at the newly organized Volunteer Auxiliary Office in the Hospital instead of in his Real Estate and Insurance office. Town Board Hosted At Local Party Fete Chairman Moyle Knudsen assisted by his wife LaRue, Mr. afld Mrs. Glen Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Gibbs and Mr. and Mrs. William L. Gibbs planned and conducted a very successful party last Thursday evening. It was to honor the town board members who have served our town so faithfully. Several townspeople attended the special program with Moyle Knudsen relating with much humor the acim- provements of our town, Mayor Larry Howell gave remarks about the board's desire to serve all and Harris then showed film and pictures of days gone by which touched the hearts of all present and made us grateful for our heritage. Ice cream Sundays were served to all. We do say thank you to the following board members who were honored that evening, Mayor Larry Howell, Sec. Douglas Gibbs and Treasurer Keith Neal, Councilmen Bud Knudsen; Barry Parkinson, Josh Hawks, Maurice Thomas, William L. Gibbs. Mr. and Mrs. Kipp Parker of Longmont, Colorado, were Saturday and Sunday guests of Mrs. Parkers parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morris. Miss Holly Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Harris was baptized in Mal-aSaturday by her father. Among those sharing this event with Holly were her parents, brothers and sister, Bishop Douglas Gibbs, and De-ve- re d, Primary leaders, Karen Gibbs and Cindy Williams. Business in Sacrament meeting Sunday was Miss Holly Harris being confirmed by her father, Steven. Also the blessing of the infant daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Douglas J. Gibbs. The little one received the name Mindy Gibbs with her father giving her the blessing. Special guests for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Denny Ward and family of Riverside, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Ward and family of Garland and the grandmother, Mrs. Thelma Gibbs. Following the meeting they were all dinner guests of Bishop and Mrs. Gibbs at their home. Mrs. Woodrow Clark ac- companied her daughter Mrs. Gene Kofford to Ogden Sunday and was an overnight guest of the Koffords. Mrs. Devere Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Corey Christ-ense- n went to Rexburg Saturday and were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Smith. Sunday the Smith's new baby was blessed and received the name Lindsee Ann. Thirty-tw- o family members were there for the occasion and all enjoyed dinner together afterward. Wednesday Mrs. Wynn took her daughter Peggy Ricks and son, Jeddie to Benson after they had spent the past ten, days in Portage. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil C. Harris attended Sacrament meeting in St. John, Idaho Sunday in the interest of Mr. HOMELITE & HUSKY CHAIN SAWS honor O'Neil Schwartz on his birthday. That night they enjoyed the Christmas lights in the park in Ogden and men returned home. Jeanette Udy and family enjoyed Sunday dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lamb and family in Plymouth. Saturday and Sunday President Devere Harris conducted a conference at Burley, Idaho stake. He was the guest of President and sister William Matthew. Friday Mrs. Thelma D. Gibbs accompanied by her sister Mrs. W.H. Rutter of Malad went to American Fork where they visited with Richard Gibbs. They also went to Orem and visited Mr. and Mrs. Junius L. Crowther and enroute home stopped in Salt Lake and visited Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Castleton. Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall visited in North Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Landy Morris. Thursday they visited Mr, and Mrs. Fred Warren of Logan. Saturday they visited Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith at the new Brigham City hospital. Saturday Annette Thomas and son, Jeremy of Grace, Idaho and Mrs. Don Fors-gre- n and children, Sharon, Judy and Jodey Forsgren of Thatcher, Idaho were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Howell. Mr. and Mrs. Moyle Knudsen left Saturday for an extended stay in Yuma, Arizona. Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris went to Logan for their grandson, Rodney Cobia's meeting.
