Show THE H OAKI.WD T!.Vh, Jiijv Zi. !,. r'aM.e a Open House Will Fete David Anderson David Morse Anderson will be honored on his 80th birthday at an open house to be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. (fit Keith (Myrna) Christianson, 3038 N. 450 E. in North Ogden, Utah on Saturday, July 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. Mr. Anderson was born July 22, 1897 in Samaria, Idaho to David H. and Maria Morse Anderson. He graduated from Brigham Young College in Logan and received a teaching certificate from Albion State Normal College in Albion, Idaho and a B. S. degree from Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah. He served in the United States Navy in World War I. Mr. Anderson's teaching career spans over 40 years. He began teaching in 1921 in Holbrook, Idaho and taught in many communities throughout southern Idaho. Mr. Anderson retired from Weber County School District in 1962 after 19 years and then taught an additional 4 years in Weber and Ogden City Schools. He has been an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various wards throughout Idaho and Utah. He has served as Elder's quorum president, superintendent of the MIA, home teacher, Sunday school teacher and high priest teacher. At present he is a high priest in the Ogden 59th ward. Mrs. Myrl Perry and Mrs. Jon Thompson concluded a week's stay in the local hospital and were able to return home. Mrs. Horace Lish was taken to the hospital in Brigham City and is in traction seeking relief from a most painful back. Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Norr were in Salt Lake City Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Knudsen and children. d BAKING POWDER Mr. and Mrs. Ed Novinger drove to Layton Thursday to help Jim Etherington celebrate his birthday. The remained in Layton over night. Three carloads of young ladies from the MIA had a fun time last Saturday as they visited points of interest in Salt Lake City.
