How's Santa Coming ? quet By now every kid in every household in every town in every state has his or her arr-- , mind on one thing,-t- he ival of Santa Claus. As the 25th of December draws nearer and nearer, the kids get edgier and edgier. It's a brief period of good behavior, as .parents never forget to remind the kids that Santa only comes to good .boys and girls on Christmas. Of course, being d so close to the Bay, nobody wants to "blow it". It's a time of anticipation additions to and the already long list of demands on old St. Nick. For, when you are a kid, there is nothing more important than setting up good communication with Santa Claus. Now, every Christmas is different from the next and no two are ever alike, so what are the kids talking about this year? No snow for Santa. If that may seem silly to a lot of adults, it certainly is not to be taken lightly by the average youngster. When your whole list of toys is dependent upon an overweight, elderly, bearded gentleman from the North Pole who delivers by sled and reindeer, much long-awaite- last-minu- consternation arises on the of no snow. Will this slow Santa down this year or prevent him from his appointed rounds altogether? And, by the way, just how does Santa deliver all those packages in one subject night? When these questions were posed to some of Mr. Jack Forsberg's class of third-gradein the Fielding Elementary School, we find that everyone is concerned. ' But their faith in a delivery procedure that they have never seen is unshaken, even with the prospects of no snow. Kristy Marble, age 8, daughter of Mr.' and Mrs! Reese Marble: "Santa doesn't need snow because his sled and reindeer can fly. I don't know how Santa can get to everyone's house so fast. I want a new dolly for Christmas." Travis Udy, age 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Udy: "If there is no snow he might have to use a helicopter and have a pilot fly him so he could deliver toys without landing so he wouldn't wake anybody up." "In order to get to everybody's house in one night he has to put rockets on his Sen- reindeer." Sylvia Hanes, age 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Hanes: "If there is no snow, he will have to go in a car. Probably a station wagon, to get himself and the toys in. He really needs to lose some weight." "The reason Santa is so fast is because his elves help him. If I can stay awake, I'm going to sneak out and see him come if my parents don't catch me." "I want a Holly Hobby oven, doll, crib, and high-chaiand I want a View r, Master." Teri Richards, age 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Richards: "He will have to use a helicopter and come down the chimney on a rope, but I hope he remembers to go through our door, because we always have a fire in our chimney." "The reason Santa can get all the toys delivered is because half the world is always night and half is always day, so he goes to the dark half first, then the light one." "I want a stuffed Snoopy for Christmas." Chris Earl, age 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Earl: "If there is no snow, he will just have to be careful and fly his own helicopter. Santa can deliver toys to everyone in one night because he brings his elves. I want him to bring me an air truck." Wade Harris, age 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harris: "He will have to keep his sled flying all the time and land on the roof. The reason he can dp everything in one night is because he trains his reindeer to be fast, just like the cutters." "I want a watch and a toboggan for Christmas." Ryan Baugh, age 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Baugh: "If there is no snow he will have to use a helicopter,--lanon the roof and go down the chimney. He always makes it."
