Sunday the two ladies attended Sacrament meeting in the Curlew Ward in Snowville where the small daughter of Mr. and Mr. Todd Garbanati was blessed by her father and given the name of Amy. Mrs. Garbanati is the former Nelda Burton. Amy is their first child. A dinner party followed at the Gar- , Billy and Sherry Ward Rhodes had their small son blessed in Sacrament meeting Sunday. He was blessed by his father and given the name of Jared W. Rhodes. Following the meeting a dinner party was held at the Rhodes home. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rhodes and son Kenny and daughters, Jan and Barbara of East Garland, Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Summers and Don . Mrs. Norman Rudd attended 'Mother's Weekend' at Utah State University as a guest of her daughter, who is enrolled at USU. May 14 and 15 are slated for the annual Aaronic Priesthood Outing to be held at Early Park. Members of the Aaronic Priesthood and their fathers are urged to circle the dates and plan to attend. A supper followed by activities will commence at 7 p.m May 14. May 15 the group will enjoy breakfast together. Attending funeral services for Mrs. Martha Bultz in the Syracuse ward chapel Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger. Miss Janie Sambrano has received her LDS mission call to serve in Argentina, South America. She will enter the Language Training School in Provo July 1. Friday Mrs. Darvel Gam, Mrs. Randy Archibald and daughter and Mrs. Lynn Gam and two daughters visited Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Lefler in Riverdale. Thursday evening Mrs. Rhoda Welling was honored at a dinner party at Maddox Ranch House in Perry. The oaccasion was her birthday anniversary. Ladies attending were Mrs. Annette Richards, Mrs. Madge Anderson, Mrs. Elsie Welling, Mrs. Lucille Potter of Fielding, Mrs. Nina Lamb and Mrs. LaPriel Secrist of Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Sunday they all attended Sacrament meeting in Logan where the small son of Dennis and Geniel Pulver Yeates was blessed by his father and given the name of Dennis Owen Yeates. A dinner party followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Owen Yeates. Others attending were Paul Pulver who is enrolled at USU in Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Don Johnson and son of Bear Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ned Baadsgaard of Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Troxel Boyer of Tremonton to Ogden Saturday evening where they enjoyed a dinner party at the 'Prairie Schooner.' The dinner honored Mr. and Mrs. Boyer who are leaving to make their home in South Dakota. They later spent the evening visiting Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holman' in Clearfield. Enjoying Saturday dinner with Mrs. Alene Sutherland were Mr. and Mrs. Glade Sutherland and two children of Logan. Mrs. Mildred Smith accompanied Mrs. Nellie Barnard of Tremonton to Shelly, Idaho where they spent the weekend as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Smith and family. Army Captain Donald W. Kerr, son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Kerr, Rt. 1, Tremonton, Utah, received on March 30 the Broken Wing award while serving with the 73rd Military Intelligence Company in Stuttgart, Germany. The award is given only to those individuals who use exceptional techniques and judgement in landing an aircraft in an emergency situation. Capt. Kerr, aerial platoon leader of the company, entered the Army in 1968 and holds 20 awards of the Air Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. Services held this Tuesday for Caddie Gardner marked the passing of one of our pioneer community members. She passed away last Sunday morning at the Pi- oneer Memorial Nursing home in Brigham City. Announcement is made by the Ward Bishopric of the preparation of another book of family pictures of Ward members. This was done about twelve years ago and there have been considerable changes in our Ward through these years. There is a schedule hanging in the foyer with days and times and all those who desire to have their picture in this Wnt book should consult this for an opening. Mrs. Paul Spackman was also honored with a beautiful flower for her willingness in assisting with the musical accompaniement. The children gave a good performance in word, . dance and song. It was truly an enjoyable evening. According to Janalee the leadership training session was "really a great experience. I was able to learn more about the program and get more involved in it."
