Mrs. Sherman Oyler was in Malad Thursday for a meeting of her club. She also visited her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hughes. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Johnson and Roger of Bountiful spent the weekend with their mother, Mrs. Leah Oyler. Saturday evening the King Creek Grazing Association held their annual dinner meeting in the ward Cultural Hall under the direction of director, Richard Rampton. ' The association originated out of Bancroft, Idaho and they rotate their meeting places . The meal was prepared by the Relief Society. Captain Essie Peterson conducted the meeting. Mrs. Millie Welling gave an interesting lesson entitled 'A Pioneer Diary'. Mrs. Dora Shaffer gave a history of her grandfather Lyman Lafayette Wood. Ruth Rampton was Winner Bobby's Design Wins i Allen vocal selec- v. ix- m&'i'.-- Bobby Thompson is only six, but the former Garland resident created a Christmas seal design which attracted the eye of the American Lung Association in Idaho. Thompson is the son of. Ron and Luana Thompson of Pocatello, formerly of Garland, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Thompson of Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Max Hyde of Tremonton. Students in his class were asked to paint in tempera a Christmas scene of a nature. The scene was to show what Christmas meant to each of the youths. His designed turned out to be one of six chosen in Idaho to be considered for the 1977 Christmas seal. Final selections will be made the last part of presented tions as program numbers. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gro-ve- r and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Grover and their families attended the Fred Grover Family birthday party held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Loveland in Willard Saturday evening to honor Bud Grover and Michelle Korth on their anniversaries. A Pot Luck dinner was served. The Wayne, Grovers had their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Patterson of West Point and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grover of Tremonton. With the Pattersons were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn DeGraw of West Point. Fred Davis of Preston visited his brother Oliver Davis Thursday evening. Mrs. Ruby Simms and daughter Donna of Ogden spent Sunday afternoon with her parents, The Oliver ... Davis' , The new Bishopric and wives hosted the retiring Bishopric and their wives at a party held at Allen Realty office in Tremonton Wednesday evening. They played games and each of the guests of honor were presented with a gift. , presented with a book 'Our Pioneer Heritage ' by Kate Carter. Hostesses were Mrs. Essie Peterson and Mrs. NaVelle Rhodes.. Light refreshments were served. The next meeting will be held Feb. 12 with Mrs. Orpha Oyler as hostess.
