Mr. Manning was born Dec. 26, 1905, in Mendon, Utah, a son of Frederick James and Rosetta Longs-tro- th Manning. He was married to Ruth Davis on June 6. 1939, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Aug. 17, 1961. He had served as Stake Sunday School superintendent in what was then called the South Hear River Stake. He had served as bishop of the Tremonton Fourth Ward, and was instrumental in the construction of the South Hear Kiver Stake Center. He was a reciepent of the Master award. Surviving are his wife of Tremonton one son and three daughters, John Re id Oyler, Altadena, Calif.; Mrs. Dean (Julie Anne) Udy Brigham en City; Mrs. Darrel (Jeri) Salt Lake City; Newman, Miss Janine Oyler of Tremonton. Six grandchildren, his parents of Tremonton, two brothers and three sis- ters, Vern Oyler of East Garland; Thayne Oyler of Tremonton; Mrs. David (Rer ta) Holdaway of Deweyville; Mrs. Mariner (Gwen) Ballard of Dillon, Montana; Mrs. Leone Hatch of Kaysville.
