Ask him !iat Logan is like at home and the response is a sigh and a moan. "They're really tough in that antiquated old gym," the head coach notes. "It's the worst AAAA gym ' the state of ltah...the balcony's come right out on the floor." But Ijogan thrives on it. "They shoot really well in ttiere." he added. That's what the Kiverite squad will have tn contend with as they seek to revenge a first half drubbing by the Logan squad, logan went wild from tlit-- field in the first meeting and the Bears could do little U cool them down. The ganu is a must because tiiis late in the season when you're scrambling for a state tourney bid, they all become musts. Hopefully the Bears will have another win under tlieir belts by tomorrow night They met Box Flder In a return Wednesday night engagement but final results weren't available at press tirrv. The Bears will be going into the contest with only one day's st lxigan, meanwhile, skipped the midweek game and has had a full week to prepare. The grizzlies should be hungry The Bears could be without the services of Rick Adams, junior guard. In the Bear's heartbreaking loss to Roy last week, Adams injured his back in the first quarter and sat out the rest of the game. Hughes said Mark weese would fill in for Adams along with Cutler. The region race is all messed up after last week's action. Bear River and Roy are tied for fourth place with Box Elder coming on with two straight victories. Sky View secured its hold on first as Weber and And Weber aitd liOgan lost Bonneville are fighting it out for second. Against Roy last week, the Bears lead for three quarters and then went scoreless the to let the last 2 victory slip from their fingers. "Both teams shot real poor from the field." Hughes comThe Bears came up mented. with a weak 32 percent from the field on 19 of 59 shots while Roy did even worse netting 29 percent on 22 of 75 shots. The Bears and the Royals also had to contend with the officiating, "ft was a very poorly officiated game." Hughes said. "Really inconsistent and it had a bearing on the outcome." At one point the three Roy coaches were on the floor arg uing along with a Royal's fan forcing the referees to call time out but no technical foul was called. Hughes said. "They didn't come to play ball they came to rough it up." Hughes cited one instance late in the game when Kevin Bair was forced out of bounds by a Royals player and instead of getting a -1 foul the ball was awarded to Roy. The Bears managed to hold Roy ace Sholtec to 2 points for Sholtec scored in the game. the 30's in the Bear's first But three other Royals came on to score in double 12-minu- 1- ter. figures.
