At a regular meeting of Borg-stro- m Chapter 18, DAV, Mr. Alfred Wallett, Rt 2, Tremonton was elected to the office of Commander, replacing Grant Meade, Jr. of Brigham City. Other officers elected were: Phillip Barker, Brigham City, Senior Vice Commander; Charles T. Wilson, Brigham City, Junior Vice Commander; Jim-m- ie City, Begay, Brigham Chaplain; John Patcyk, Brigham City, Adjutant. Commander elect, Wallett will be installed in September, statewide slate of officers was elected June 9, 1973 by members of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliaryat the close of their three day convention, which was held in Salt Lake City. Elected Department Commander of the DAV Auxiliary was Roberta Meade, Brigham City, replacing Mrs. Norma Jackson. Other officers are: Helen Miller, Salt Lake City, Senior Vice Berthel Commander; Jackson, Salt Lake City, Junior Vice Commander; Linda A new Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lee Tarbet Miss Young Weds Miss Vivian Lee Young, daugh.er of Mr. and Mrs. Dar- v. in L. Voutig of Blackfoot Idaho, became the bride of Gary Lee Tarbet June 14. double-rin- g The ceremony took place in the Ogden LD3 Temple in the presence of immediate members of both families and a few close friends. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leeward D. Tarbet of Garland, Immediately following the ceremony the bridal party was honored at a wedding breakfast hosted by the groom's parents held at the Chnck-H-Po- m in Ogden. The newly-we- greeted ds guests at a reception hosted by the bride's parents held in the Moreland Ward Cultural Hall in More land, Idaho. The bride's gown was of exquisite white lace over taffeta, floor length, with a mantilla veil accented with lace identical to the gown. Carol Young, sister of the bride was the maid of honor. yellow was carried out in decorations, etc. Edward J. Moss assumed duties of best man for his brother-in-la- w. Users were L.D. Tarbet Jr. and Allen Young. Following a honeymoon in California the new Mr. and Mrs. Tarbet will make their home at 309 East 4500 South in Salt Lake City, where they will be honor- -. ed at an open house on June 22. The bride is a graduate of Brigham Young university in Provo and is presently employed as a secretary in Salt Lake City. The groom is currently with the U.S. Navy N.E.S.E. P. program at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City studying meteorology. Upon graduation he will be commissioned as an officer in the U.S Navy. Nelson of West Corinne announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Gloria to Micheal Bruce Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson E. Jensen of Penrose. A wedding reception in their honor will be held June 30, 1973 from 8 .until 10:30 p.m. at the Corinne LDS Ward Cultural Hall. Miss Nelson is a graduate of Box Elder High School and LDS Lii Kathleen Allen and Kent David Petersen Seminary and has attended Utah State University and the University of Utah.
