Jim Downing Dies Jim Downing, a former Tre-mont- on resident and the man who started many of Utah's modern boxers on their way to fame and fortune, died in his sleep Thursday night in Los Angeles. Downing was manager of the Midland Hotel when he resided in this community. The contestants rodeoed Thursday, April 20 through Friday April 21. Thursday and Friday night, 14 contestants represented Bear River. Seven participated Saturday night.
