He was the son of Leland and Edna Oyler Petersen. He was reared and educated in Tremonton and was a graduate of Bear River High School. He married Beverly Cannon, May 7, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Petersen was in the bishopric in Glenwood Ward, Glen wood, Colo., and was president of the Eagle Bank in Eagle, Colo., before moving to Morrison four years ago. He was a member of the Morrison Lions Club and was president of the Sterling Ward at the time of his death. Survivors are his widow, "three sons and two daughters. David, Daniel, Daryl, Janet and Jill all of Morrison; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland H. Petersen, Morrison; four brothers and two sisters, Burke and Mark, both of Morrison; Gerald, Eagle, Colo.; Dee, For res ton, M.; Mrs. Beth Choate and Miss Ruth Ann Petersen, both of Guam; and a grandmother, Mrs. Henry Oyler of Salt Lake City. Memorial services were held in Morrison May 6. Services will be May 9 in the South Bear River Stake Center. Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary Thursday from 7- -9 p.m. and Friday from 12 noon until services. Internment will be in the Fielding Cemetery.
