Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Gibbs of Cedar and children City, spent the weekend with Mr. Gibbs' mother. Mrs. Thelma D. Gibbs. They left Monday and Mrs Gibbs accompanied them to their home for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall and Mrs Erma Halford visited in Preston. Ida.. Thursday with Mr and Mrs. Victor Halford. Mrs. Woodrow Clark. They also visited with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ora H. John. Aid-- Miss Julie Ann Hawks was among the winners of the Poster contest in Malad Stake in t h e Geneological Program. "Youths Place in Genealogy". The poster was among those displayed in the Malad Stake Building during Stake Conference, then taken to the Genealogical Library in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erickson and sons of Kaysville were weekend guests of Mrs. Erick-son'mother. Mrs. Pearl Howell. 80TH BIRTHDAY Mrs. Annice Lamb was honored on her eightieth birthday anniversary Oct. 17th by her granddaughter and her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Loren John at a family dinner at their home. Mrs. Lamb makes her home with the Johns. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lamb and children. Lamb. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson. Bruce Roderick, a student of Ricks College at Rexburg spent the weekend with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roderick. His friend, Owen Daniels of Garland spent Saturday with him. Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley were Logan visitors Monday. Thirty-twmembers of the Portage MIA participated in the annual Road Show Tuesday and Wednesday entitled "Puff the Magic Dragon". Hyrum Gibbs received word this week that her brother. Ed Orgill of Sweet Home. Ore., is seriously ill. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Friday and Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Vern Budge and son. Leon, who was serving a mission in the East Central States. Funeral services will be held Thursday in Louisville and Saturday in Portage. Bothwell Ward Cub Scouts will hold their Pack Night on Saturday beginning at " 30 p.m. The evening will find the scouts dressed as either cowboys or Indians to go along with the "Westward Ho" theme for the month of October. The evening will be under the direction of Cub Master. J. Leo Stokes. IDAHO FALLS VISIT Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley were guests of Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Ward of Idaho Falls for several days last week They returned home Monday. Some of those who were visiting were: Devon Nish and Jan rowning and Loren Blower from Salt Lake City. They were visiting the Lyle Hurd family and went hunting in Yost Saturday with Lyle. Visiting the William Stokes family were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Stokes from Magna, Mr. and Mrs. DeLoy 'Billy Stokes from Hooper, and Mr. Jim Stokes of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cobia had part of their children and grandchildren home. They were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cobia from Logan and Karen and Darin Conger from Garland. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hurd went hunting with their children. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jane Noble of Brigham City and Merrill Hurd of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hurd had a lot of company. Mr. Clarence Hurd's brother from Ogden, Mr. Gerald Hurd. and his Mr. Bob Ancin. Also The Primary Carnival will be held Monday evening at the Bothwell Ward Cultural Hall A lunch for the family may br purchased along with popcorn, home made candy, pies and cakes. The children will be delighted with a fish pond, cake walk, dart toss and other games. Plan to attend the Primary Halloween Carnival. They had Sunday dinner with Mrs. Hurd's folks. Mr. and Mrs. and Phillip Cummins, Also their daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Galliher and another daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle. Steed and friend, Unice Scott from Stone, Idaho. Mrs. Kendall Kimber had six deer hunters for dinner Friday. They were close relatives. Also Mr. Kimber's sister and husband. Mr. and Mr. Wayne Jensen from Brigham stopped on their way out west. FUNERAL SERVICE Mr. Dunkin Burridge died in the Tremonton hospital Friday following a stroke. He had been in the hospital 13 days. He was 75 years old. He had lived with the William Stokes family for 17 years but is no relative. His funeral was held Tuesday at p.m. in the Curlew Ward Chapel with Bihop Blaine Hickman presiding. Because of the funeral being seld Tuesday Relief Society was postponed until Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Garn Larkin attended a funeral in Ogden Oct 18 for Thomas Tolman. son of Mr. and Mrs. James Larkin's nephew. Mr. and Mrs. Garn Larkin went to Burley Friday visiting relatives. Miss Peggy Green from Salt Lake City visited with her sis ter. Mrs. Jerry Rose, over the weekend, and went to conference in Garland with them. Mrs. Lela Pratt from Ogden was to conference Sunday and visited with all her friends from Snowville who were in attendance.. Bishop and Mrs. Blaine Hickman and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Ward went to Salt Lake City Sunday afternoon to hear David Mills bear his testimony in the Tabernacle. VETERAN'S HOSPITAL Mrs. Harvey Sorenson went to Salt Lake City Friday to the Veteran's Hospital to take her husband a wheel chair. Mr Sorenson has his leg out of the cast now and is staying in the hospital for treatments to his leg so he can walk on it. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brown of Hansel Valley went to Salt Lake City Sunday to get their son. David Shurtz. from the air port. He flew in from California to stay and hunt with his father for a week. While in Sail Lake City they visited Mrs. Brown's Dr. nephew and family. and Mrs. R. P.
