Show Thatcher Family Bids Farewell To Missionary OBITUARIES OWEN C. HESS Funeral services for Owen Charles 67, Hess, Fielding farmer, were conducted Tueswith Bishop day afternoon, Donald Petersen in charge. Burial was' in the Fielding Cemetery. Mr. Hess died Sept. 2. 1966 of an apparent heart attack while in his field northeast of Fielding. He had been ill for some months. He was born April 6, 1899 in Farmington, a son of Charles C. and Jane Owen Hess. He married Isabell Hughes July 16, 1921 in Logan. He was a member of the Farmers Union, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters. Mrs. LeRoy (Donna) Owen E., both of Ogden; Mrs. Cloyd (Marjorie) Pruett, Mrs. Cal W. (Elaine) Killian, Roy; 14 grand y Mc-Qui- Clearfield; children, one great grandchild, brothers and sisters, Mrs. Marvin Nelson, Reed, (Gladys both of Salt Lake City; Orland, Howell; Don, Garland; Quinton, Fielding; Mrs. Theo (Rhea Hunsaker, Honeyville. MYRLE MRS. C. BRIGGS Mrs. Myrle C. Briggs, 66. former Tremonton beauty operator died Sept. 2, 1966 at the following a Valley Hospital stroke. She was born May 26, 1900 in Springville, a daughter of Robert W. and Zella Blackett Carter. She married Dan Briggs in January 1920 in Pocatello, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Auxiliary, and for 25 years operated a beauty She also shop in Tremonton. had been a Relief Society teacher. Surviving are one daughter. Bishop and Mrs. Verl Wald-roand family attended the Missionary Testimonial Meeting in Salt Lake Sunday evening. They remained until Monday to see their son Thomas off for the Southwestern Indian Mission. Mr. and Mrs. John Morris and daughters Elizabeth and Rachel were weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Ida Miller. They were dinner guests of the Orsen Jensen family. The Morris family of Williams Twn W. Va., are mission friends of James Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Orsen Jensen and family attended the Burrell Family Reunion in Ogden Sunday. Mrs. Lois Webb and children brought Mrs. Ida Miller home after she had spent ten days visiting at the Webb home in Kaysville. Mrs. Ted Yvonne Pleasant Grove; grand daughters. MRS.
