Show Thm Tremonton, Utah Schools Present Gifts to Board Of Education Agreement Work Progresses On .Water Shed Project A release from Senator Wallace F. Bennett's office in Washington D. C, indicates that the first project agreement on waterBox western in shed project Elder County will be signed in the the next ten days. James Nes-se- n and Dart Woods of the project say there is still a good deal of paper work to be done before the contracts can be ready for signing. It was estimated by Don Dredge of the local Soil Conservation office that the agreement papers might be ready for signing by May 15. The $1.6 million project was authorized by Congress last year after being planned by the Eisenhower admiration. Senator Bennett said that $40,000 in federal funds .has been alloted for initiation of work on the first phase of the project, which will include construction of 26 debris basins and 20 miles of waterways in Box Elder County. The project is designed both for flood control and watershed protection, and involves the area from Great Salt Lake o northward to the Utah-Idah- state line.
