Throughout the State, the average daily attendance increased from 142,272 in 1949-5- 0 to 206,080 in 1958-5Since 1940, school attendance has risen 25.4 in Box Elder district, the study notes. This com pares with a statewide rise of 66 for the same period. In the 1939-4- 0 school year there were 4,679 pupils in average daily attendance at Box Elder district schools. Another fact brought out in the foundation publication is that the district employed an average, of 234.0 classroom teachers during the last school year (1959-59- ).
