October 9. 1958 FIELDING By Florence Munson Club Hears Travelogue Club The Social Development held their first meeting for the season at the home of Mrs. Edith Welling Thursday afternoon. An interesting Travelogue of "Nau-voo- " was given by Mr. and Mrs. Officers James Nessen of presiding for thf earning year are Mrs. Mollie Mra. Eliza Fut.Vt, Hodges, Mrs. Minta Garn, Mrs. Donnetta Petersen, Mrs. Helen Mason and Mrs. Lovinne Holt. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostess to 16 club members and guests. The next meeting will be held Oct. 16th at the home of Mrs. Ettie Rudd. Miss Elaine Adams has been spending the past tvo weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Afton at Adams after being employed Yellowstone Park during the summer months. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Adams and Elaine visited with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Steed at Ogden and with Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams at Roy. Mr. and Mrs. Veil Udy and daughters Wrlene and Kayla spent Thimrs'lav and Friday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Pharon Apgood a nil l.n. i!y at Salt Lake Citv Mrs. Nol!.' Petersen and Mrs. Rae Rasmussen and children accompanied by Mrs. Carol Jensen and children of Brigham spent Wednesday visiting Mrs. Elaine Christofferson and family at Murray. Spending Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Welling were Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Lenon of Pocatello. Mrs. Elma Petersen has returned home after spending a week visiting with her children Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bywater and family at Little Valley. Mrs. and children accompanied her home for a few days visit. George Myler of Clarkston visited with Mrs. Eliza Godfrey and family last week. Gives Birthday Dinner Brothers and sisters of Mrs. Effie Johnson honored her at a party at her home on her birthday anniversary. A delicious dinner of the was served to members family. Spending Monday and Tuesday at the Afton Adams home were the Ursel Adams family of Fair- field, Mont. Miss Elaine Adams spent the weekend visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hansen (Mae Mason) and family at Logan. Mrs. Carol Robbins and daughters Pamela and Kathryn of Salt Lake City spent Thursday and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Noble Petersen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Todd Petersen of Cedar City spent the weekend with Mrs. Petersen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gale Welling. Mrs. Alta Johnson and Mrs. LaPriel Secrist spent Friday afternoon visiting with Mrs. Ann Hawkins at Ogden. New Officers Installed The Future Progress Guild held their Installation Luncheon at the Stephens Cafe at Garland Thursday evening with Mrs. Bernadine Earl, Mrs. Bonnie Garn, Mrs. Lola Dene Coombs, Mrs. Roma Jean Bourne as hostesses. Mrs. LaPriel Secrist presided. The following program was presented consisting of two duets by LaDene Zundel and Bonnie Garn accompanied by Miss JaNae Zundel at the piano. Readings by Golden Adams and Jerry Oyler of East Garland and Miss Manning of Howell. Special gifts were presented to five members who had perfect attendance records for the past year, they were Jeanine Kent, Ann Potter, Iris Lee Wood, Lola Dene Coombs and Lolita Gam. A lovely turkey supper was enjoyed by 2S members and guests. The tables were attractively decorated with Theo Richards had charge of the program which consisted of two quartets by Rhoda Welling, Letha Petersen, Velda Wood and Dorothy Richards, two reading by Dora Anger, a skit by Lula Wood and Dorothy Richards. A lovely luncheon was enjoyed by about 30 members. Mrs. Ina Udy who had been released as first coun-selwas succeeded by Mrs. Lula Wood. Other officers are Florence Garn, Effie Potter and Esther Coombs. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in quilting. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Udy spent Monday at Ogden. Visiting with Florence Munson Monday afternoon were Billie Hansen and Lucille Foster of Ogden. Mrs. LaPriel Secrist and Mrs. Edith Udy visited with Mrs. Hy-ruat Brigham last Johnson week. Horace Peck spent last week at Portland, Ore., visiting with Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Peck and family. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bourne, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Bourne and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bourne attended a family party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Summers at Bothwell Friday evening the occasion being Mr. Summers' birthday anniversary. A lovely luncheon was enjoyed. The ladies worked on materials for the annual bazaar. Mr. and Mrs. Don Welling had their baby son named in fast meeting Sunday. He was given the name of Bryan Don by his father. Bishop and Mrs. Ron Hales are happy over the safe arrival of a boy to their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Richins of Ogden. They are doing well. Wade and Sheryl Ann Richins are with their grandparents while their mother is in the hospital. Friday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Thorn of Perry visited the Ed Udys. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bate of Idaho Falls also called at the Udys during the afternoon. LaMar Capener attended the wedding reception for one of his missionary friends in Salt Lake City Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Davis have returned from Provo where they spent the past summer.
