Show ft nntv County Organization Following the Republican and Democratic Primary conventions held Friday and Saturday of last week, two contests in each party were eliminated with delegates of both groups nominating their favorite candidates to have their names appear in the Primary Election, September 9. Democrat A three candidate race for Recompresentative and four-yemissioner was settled when Aubrey Moody, Brigham City and Angus Ward, Willard won the nod as representatives. Fred Douglas was the other contestant. r In the county commissioner Howard balloting, Glenn, Tremonton and S. Martin Rasmussen, Brigham City were selected. Edward Ward, Brigham City was the third candidate. Republican In the Republican contest for county attorney, Sherma Hanson polled 67 votes, O. Dee Lund, incumbent won 62 points and the third candidate Reed Hadfield lost the race with 60 points. All are from Brogham ham City emerging with the approval of the convention delegates. Wight was high man with a total of 73 votes, Day received 63. Lorenzo Bott of Brigham City was low man with 52 votes. The Democrats met at the War Memorial Home Friday and the Republicans at the Box Elder high school Saturday. Both conventions were well attended. ar City. Anderson of has been appointed as a member of the Box Elder county Farmers Home Administration committee, Dennis C. Winter, the agency's county supervisor, announced this week. The other two members servy ing with Mr. Anderson are A. Atkinson and Verne B. Fillmore. Mr. Anderson succeeds Edwin O. Stenquist whose term expires this year. Each agricultural county in commitUtah has a tee to work with the county supervisor to make the best possible local use of the agency's farm credit service program. The committee determines the eligibility of applicants for all types of Farmers Home Administration loans, and determines and fair and the suitability reasonable values of farms to be taken as security for real estate loans.
